ISTE-Well, I'm back home and sitting at my table making a list of everything that I'm planning on implementing this year.  It's quite a list!  I'm very excited to try several new things:  this blog being one of them!

iPad Ideas:  Here are a bunch of different apps that I plan on using this year.  They are free unless noted.

Educreations-white board app that lets you record and narrate what your doing.  Great for math metacognition.
PhotoCard-lets you use preselected pictures (wonderful pictures) or your own pictures as a cover for an e-postcard.  Then you can type text on the back and email it to people.
iDiary (free or $1.99)- is a very cute way for kids to journal on the iPad.  The free version only allows one student, the paid version is up to 6 students.
Book Creator ($4.99 and well worth it) -kids can create books using images from the internet or their photo library.  Then they can type text and publish the book to iBooks!  It looks just like any other book in iBooks. You can also add audio to each page.
